WELCOME TO LYMESTONE RESTAURANT A CULINARY GEM IN GRANGE OVER SANDS

Lymestone restaurant is situated on the lower ground floor of the Lymehurst hotel. Here you can enjoy lunch and dinner prepared from the finest local ingredients by Master Chef of Great Britain Kevin Wyper and his team.

After seven successful and busy years at Jambo in Windermere.Andrea and Kevin now offer the whole package here, eat, drink and be merry and then just walk or crawl upstairs to bed before enjoying a wonderful breakfast in the morning.



Kevin's believe in the food we produce is to the best, freshest, seasonal ingredients which we source as locally as possible. He cooks these ingredients with the respect they are due, treats them simply, cooks them with classical methods, but gives them a modern twist and lets the ingredients do the talking. We always get the basics correct and this produces a memorable meal for our customers time and time again.

We always have a vegetarian option on the menu and any dietary requirements can be catered for with prior notice.

Private Parties, Weddings and Anniversaries

Lymestone is a great place for your own get together or special celebration!We have two dining areas and can cater for up to 25 people in each area. We work closely with you to create the special individually menu to suit you and your party. To make sure of the smooth-running of your celebration Kevin and Andrea will discuss the running of your event in every detail beforehand. We also have a lounge on the first floor of the hotel for you to relax in for Pre dinner drinks and afterwards for coffee and liqueurs

We will be adding a restaurant to Lymehurst in November this year which will allow us to cater for small functions up to 60 people, we will also be adding an outside terrace which can be used for pre and post dinner drinks and the downstairs bar will be available for bands, disco etc. allowing us to provide you with the whole package. This is due to be finished by February 2009, please contact us for further information.

Our Wine Selection

We take the matching of food and wine serious at the Lymehurst , and work closely with our suppliers to bring you the best list we can at affordable prices, this keeps everybody happy . Several wines are available by the glass and our wine list features an extensive range of wines from around the world. We also have a separate Dessert Wine, Port and Sherry list which will be presented when you are ordering puddings or cheese,this has helpful hints to help you choose something to complement your dessert. If you are having a celebration with us once the menu has been decided on our wine supplier be delighted to pick wines to match the food.

Master Chef of Great Britain

Kevin and Andrea are both trained chefs and have been working in the catering trade for 15 years. Kevin is a Master Chef of Great Britain, he was nominated for this title and then he had to be interviewed, and his title means he is dedicated to;

· Serve the culinary art by expanding its influence and providing for its future
· Show a high level of technical expertise and culinary art
· Use the finest products in producing their dishes and promote local produce, where possible
· Ensure that the kitchens are clean, pleasant, functional and observes the principles of hygiene
· Assist in the training of his staff and their development as chefs
· Act as an ambassador for the association.
